Yorkshire Golfer article on Northcliffe

(August 2009, pg 18 - 19)

Local Weather Forecast

Northcliffe Golf Club is situated in the heart of West Yorkshire on the outskirts of Shipley, overlooking the beautiful Aire Valley. It boasts an 18-hole course set in some 100 acres of parkland, and hosts some of the most scenic and challenging holes in Yorkshire.

The
Yorkshire Golfer Magazine describes the approach to the first tee as "jaw dropping". The signature 18th hole - a par 3 from an elevated tee into a narrow green alongside a ravine, is described as "breathtaking" and "one of golf's great finishing holes".

Golfing Truths and Quotes

In most medal rounds, you start badly then fade away.

Immediately you put on your waterproofs it stops raining.

If a golfer wishes to give you a blow-by-blow account of his round, ask him to start with his final putt on the 18th green.

A golf ball is like a clock.  Always hit it at 6 o'clock and make it go toward 12 o'clock.  But make sure you're in the same time zone.  ~Chi Chi Rodriguez
